Archbishop Fape to deliver WATs convocation lecture tomorrow





Archbishop Olusina Fape, the archbishop of Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos and Bishop of Remo Anglican Diocese, Church of Nigeria is expected to deliver the 33rd Convocation Lecture of West Africa Seminary, Ipaja Lagos on September 9.

The theme of the convocation lecture is "Pastoral Leadership and Development of a National Ethos"

The Most Revd. Dr. Fape, is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan, where he graduated with Second Class Upper before he obtained the Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M). degree from the Yale University Divinity School, New Haven, CT. U.S.A in 1990 and between 1992 and 1996 was awarded the Langham Trust Scholarship to study for his Ph.D degree in New Testament Studies at the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, graduating in 1996.

Dr. Fape, a native of Ipogun-Ayo, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State is a dedicated Pastor, Teacher and Philanthropist whose pastoral, teaching and philanthropic activities have brought joy to many lives in various homes and churches in Nigeria, United States of America and United Kingdom.

If Nigeria does not devolve more political power to the sub-national governments, economic initiatives to the Organised Private Sector and drastically review its industrialisation model so that industrial raw materials, if not also industrial machinery and spare parts, are sourced locally, Nigeria’s industrialisation will be a mirage.
